one cruel word

can shatter it beyond repair
in a shower of shining glass

is so unpredictable
it grows in places that no one expects
like a rose among the thorns
Time and Patience
work their magic
mending wounded hearts
and turning enemies into friends

it can move any mountain
and survive any storm
it holds all the world together
and keeps love beating strong
no fear can rip it apart
no hate can tear it down

this is a poem i dedicate to the zutarian fandom. It's about the growing relationship between my favorite firebender and waterbender (besides iroh of course)
